Plug one adapter in near your router, plug the other in wherever you need a wired connection, and your house wiring carries the network between them. No drilling, no crawlspace, no running cable through a wall you would rather not open.
It is the honest answer for one stubborn room β an office over the garage, a back bedroom the WiFi never quite reaches β where mesh keeps disappointing you and running proper cable is a bigger job than the problem deserves.
Good for
- One specific room that needs a solid, wired connection
- A desktop, game console, or TV that would rather not be on WiFi
- Older houses where running new cable means opening up walls
Not the right fit if…
- Improving WiFi coverage β this moves the network, it does not broadcast it
- Runs that cross a breaker panel, which usually kills the signal
- Outbuildings on a separate electrical service
