Grid power up here isn't a given. Our network is built for that: batteries at every site, generators behind most, and a second way off the mountain when the first breaks.
Six Hours of Battery, Minimum
Every site carries at least six hours of battery. We upgraded everywhere after a long outage showed us the old limits, and wrote about it at the time instead of quietly fixing it.
Generators Measured in Days
Over 80% of customers are on sites with generators that run for days. Our Tecuya Mountain backbone runs off-grid year round.
Two Ways Off the Mountain
Two carrier fiber uplinks, on opposite ends of the mountain. When the fiber between Frazier Park and Pine Mountain Club failed, we rerouted wirelessly through Tecuya and the PMC Clubhouse stayed online.

One honest caveat: our towers stay up, but your router still needs power. A small battery usually does it—we stock the ones we trust, or read how to size one yourself.
